ABOUT TOWER ENTERTAINMENT
Tower Entertainment originated in the summer of 1984 when John Scavilla took over the music at a private party that was “flat.” From that night, a get together of 50 people who danced until dawn, the idea to build a multifaceted DJ service took root.
With over 26 years experience, Tower Entertainment now features DJs John, Jim, Chris, Joe, Jarrod, and Danny, entertaining thousands of people annually at events ranging from parties for kids to large corporate functions.
Our background is very high profile: We were the lead entertainment at the Maryland Special Olympic Summer Games Dance for four years (attended by 2500) and the headliner at The Maryland Optimist Club’s annual fundraiser attended by 1200 people in 2008. We also contract with several other local charities to work their annual programs.
Tower’s primary focus is large private and corporate parties, including: Weddings, Fashion shows, School events such as: dances, fund–raisers, alumni nights, and father/daughter dances. And of course: Anniversaries, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, annual dinners, annual awards ceremonies, etc. The range of attendees is 30 to 3,000. Our forte is customizing music (including traditional and ethnic) for each event and providing the emcee services necessary to make your party fun! If you would like games and contests, we can provide them as well. This has resulted in many long–term relationships with customers; some have used our services for over twelve years. In September of 1996, we were part of the grand opening of The Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD, and have provided music for public sessions and special events ever since. No one works a group of kids like we do! Twice we have been recognized in the Washington Post featuring events at the rink.
Other talents range from editing music for skaters, including US Olympian Michael Weiss, and cheerleaders, to providing music/announcing at sporting events, including many of the area’s largest figure skating competitions and ice hockey games.
